Plus Size Long Sleeve Wedding Gowns
October 17, 2008
Plus size long sleeve wedding gowns can hide the arms, but are also great for a chillier winter wedding. For a winter wedding choose a dress with sleeves that are the same or thicker fabric as the dress. A long sleeve wedding gown for summer would be better suited to sleeves of lightweight fabric such as chiffon, organza or lace for a light covering on the arms.Even with sleeves the plus size wedding dress can have any sort of neckline from a high round neck which looks formal and elegant to a low plunging neckline, which will draw the eye away from larger areas such as the hips. Many plus size brides prefer a simple v-neck or sweetheart shape neckline which is more flattering to a large chested bride.
Plus size wedding dresses come in lots of shapes and styles. From strapless or halter neck shapes, to gowns with short sleeves or long sleeves. Many women, large or small do not like their upper arms exposed, so sleeves are a great idea.
Below are a few examples of dresses with sleeves. The styles are all different and would suit a wide age range of plus size brides.

Bridal Plus Size - Wedding Shoes
October 3, 2008
Let’s take a look at some other items relating to bridal plus size. There is a huge variety of shoes that could be worn with your choice of plus size bridal outfit. For the plus size bride, who may require a wide or extra wider fitting and a larger size shoe, there is still a great choice of styles around these days, from flats, kitten heel, high heels, sandals, court shoes, mules, slingbacks and slides. And if you need a different color, you can always choose a dyeable pair.
Firstly remember that you are going to be wearing them all day and you are going to be on your feet for most of that day. Choose a style which is comfortable for you. If you are used to walking around in 4″ heels all day, then all well and good, but if you are not, don’t choose them and expect to be comfy. Also remember you need to take into account your wedding location. Again big heels are not a good idea if you are getting married on grass or on the beach.
Some women are not comfortable in flat shoes. Choose a heel or style that is comfortable for you and is appropriate for your big day. Think about how tall you are, do you want to wear heels that will make stand taller than your man on the day ? In this case flat or lower kitten heels may be your choice. You may could even choose to wear a more sturdier chunky heel pump or sandal which can still be glamorous, with added details of rhinestones, diamantes or sequins to add a little bling.
There are also shoes and sandals that have hidden instep support and padding, which will help to ease those aching feet after a long day and the night still to dance away !
Take a look at Designershoes.com who have a huge range of bridal footwear in sizes upto 13, with wide and extra wide fittings.
